Smiley Children Society Promotes Education as the Foundation for Stronger Communities
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Education has the ability to uplift individuals, strengthen families, and contribute to the long-term development of society. With this vision, Smiley Children Society has been working consistently to improve educational opportunities for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds since its establishment on January 19, 2019.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, the organization operates from its headquarters in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Through a dedicated network of volunteers, Smiley Children Society has developed several initiatives that focus on school enrollment, academic support, nutritional assistance, and educational awareness.
One of the organization’s most significant initiatives involves helping children who are out of school secure admission to nearby government schools. Volunteers work closely with parents, assist with documentation, and coordinate with school authorities to make the enrollment process smooth and accessible.
The initiative has earned appreciation from Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who acknowledged the contribution of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and praised Founder Prudhvi Moses for encouraging educational participation among underprivileged families.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to receive an education that opens doors to a brighter future. Through our volunteers, we are working to ensure that financial challenges do not become barriers to learning,” said Prudhvi Moses.
To provide continued academic support, the organization conducts free evening tuition classes at its Angara branch. Students receive personalized guidance, homework assistance, concept clarification, and examination preparation from dedicated volunteers who are committed to improving learning outcomes.
Recognizing that education and health go hand in hand, Smiley Children Society also provides free dinner to children attending the evening tuition sessions. The initiative offers nutritional support while reducing financial pressure on families and encouraging regular attendance.
In addition to these programs, the organization actively promotes creative learning in Anganwadi centres and primary schools. During educational events, Prudhvi Moses has highlighted the importance of introducing activity-based learning, storytelling, visual teaching aids, and interactive classroom activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence among young learners.
Smiley Children Society further supports educational institutions by donating learning materials, classroom equipment, and teaching resources whenever possible. These contributions help schools enhance the learning experience and create more engaging classroom environments.
Looking to the future, Smiley Children Society aims to strengthen partnerships with educational institutions, expand its volunteer base, and reach more children across Andhra Pradesh. Through its continued dedication to education, nutrition, and community service, the organization remains committed to building stronger communities by investing in the potential of every child.
